The Girl Who Wanted to Go to School ( Malala Yousafzai )

I am focusing on women’s rights and education because they are suffering the most. There was a time when women asked men to stand up for their rights, but this time we will do it for ourselves.


 Malala Yousafzai 


Malala Yousafzai, the well-known campaigner for girls education throughout the world. She was just 11 Years old when she first started writing blogs to BBC News from Swat valley about how they're struggling by the terrorist control over Swat. They shut down all the schools and colleges for girls in Swat. So all the people of Swat started migrating from Swat, but Malala didn't step back. She started continuing her studies in the home itself. Her father was a school owner running a chain of Khushal Public Schools. He himself an educational activist encouraged her daughter to study and aware people about the importance of education.

When people noticed Malala's articles on the BBC, the NewYork times decided to make a documentary on Swat, regarding how people on Swat suffering. Later her father and she attended a conference in America, asked the American government to help them. Once she gave a speech on Pakistan news channel, where she asked the Taliban "How dare the Taliban to take away my basic right to education?". She was shot by the Taliban while coming home from school, even then she said "I will not stop my mission even death supports my mission and I mustn't afraid anymore.

Malala has spoken in United Nation about the girlchild education, she met several countries presidents and asked them to release funds for girls education. She was awarded the Noble peace award, in 2014. July 12, 2013, for her tremendous speech at UNO,  the UN dubbed the event "Malala Day". 

Malala is a symbol of hope and an inspirational role model, particularly for girls.
